A successful consultant in his own right, Larry has a 15-year history of creating high-performing teams whose members have rewarding careers as executives, entrepreneurs, project managers, and team leaders.

As passionate about learning and development as he is about solving complex analytical problems, Larry is on a continuing quest to acquire and apply knowledge to help his clients achieve increased career success. Understanding the key to his own success, as well as his group’s success, was the ability of everyone on the team to grow and develop, Larry became a certified coach through iPec and a Reach-Certified Personal Branding Strategist. In 2010, he launched his own firm, Success Rockets. With thought-provoking questions and exercises, he helps his clients bring their authentic personal brands forward and discover their unique success. His diverse background and ability to make connections between seemingly disparate facts enables him to design practical solutions with wide acceptance.

Larry's Story

Larry’s own career illustrates the possibilities for creatively combining talents to realize a purposeful career. Initially majoring in physics, he realized he was not to be a physicist. Having always expected to earn a PhD, Larry enrolled in an economics PhD program, where he deepened his analytical and teaching capabilities yet yearned for something that could more directly help people. He completed his Master’s degree and enrolled in a Master of Public Administration program, where he also had his first taste of consulting. Holding degrees in physics, economics, and public administration, Larry applied his unique combination of skills and experience to lead the development of innovative models that help government agencies and corporations achieve their financial and management objectives. His uncommon background was noticed at Price Waterhouse, where he rapidly advanced through the ranks and became know as the person who could develop staff. After five years, he moved on to Freddie Mac to lead the development of a cutting-edge financial risk model model that would bring together his strengths across disciplines and organizational structures.

Proving that you never know who you will work for one day, a former intern of Larry’s asked him to join his company, IHS Consulting, to create an analytical services team. Igniting his entrepreneurial fire, Larry was soon growing that business in new, profitable directions.
